Tribulation Table:

The initial events of the end-times tribulation, and the beginning of the 70th Week of Daniel within Revelation.

  Revelation 6:12 to 8:7 Ezekiel 38:8 to 39:20 Haggai 2:21-23 Isaiah 18
Peace and safety precedes the day of the Lord (1 Thess. 5:3)   38:8, ...and now all of them [people of Israel] live in safety. 11, ...a peaceful and unsuspecting people. 14, ...In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety.
Magog alliance forms, including Cush   38:2-5, Gog of the land of Magog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal... Persia, Cush and Put will be with them...   18:1-2, Woe to the land of whirring wings along the rivers of Cush... Go, swift messengers, to a people tall and smooth-skinned, to a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers.
Great earthquake 6:12a, I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. 38:19, ...at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.
Darkened sun and red moon will precede the Day of the Lord (Joel 2:31) 6:12b, The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red,
Global quake 6:14, The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. 38:20a, The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence.

[An earthquake strikes only Israel first (38:19), but then soon afterwards a greater quake is felt throughout the world (38:20a).]

2:21, "Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I will shake the heavens and the earth..."
Men fear, tremble and/or hide, 6:15-16, Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
Mountains fall 38:20b, The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.
Reference to God's wrath and/or the day of the Lord 6:17, For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?" 38:19, In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare...
The Magog alliance invades Israel's mountains   38:21a, I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD.   18:3, All you people of the world, you who live on the earth, when a banner is raised on the mountains, you will see it and when a trumpet sounds, you will hear it.
Stillness on earth and a pause in heaven 7:1, After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.

8:1, When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

18:4, This is what the LORD says to me: "I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest."
Magog alliance struck with internal fighting   38:21b, Every man's sword will be against his brother. 2:22, I will overthrow chariots and their drivers; horses and their riders will fall, each by the sword of his brother.
Magog alliance hit with astro-physical bombardment 8:7a, The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. 38:22, And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

39:6, And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

A portion of the earth is burned with fire 8:7b, A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
The dead of the Magog alliance are left to be eaten by birds and beasts   39:4, Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.   18:6, They will all be left to the mountain birds of prey and to the wild animals; the birds will feed on them all summer, the wild animals all winter.
A seven-year period begins after the destruction of the Magog alliance.

This is the final seven years of Daniel's prophecy of the Seventy Weeks
(Daniel 9:27).

[In Revelation the 70th Week of Daniel will not begin until sometime after the first Trumpet Judgment.] 39:9, Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up--the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. 2:23, `On that day... I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel... and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,' declares the LORD Almighty.

[Zerubbabel's 1260-day ministry begins, the first half of the 70th Week of Daniel.]
